Benefits
Rabbit Pet Therapy employs RABVET rabbits to assist clients of all ages, but with a keen focus on children and in particular those with learning difficulties or other disabilities—fostering empathy and teaching them to learn to love, benefiting their growth and development.
Longer lifespans & ethically bred
RABVET rabbits are bred to be robust, friendly and disease-reduced rabbits that are healthier and live longer than many of their kin, aided by a premium prebiotic diet that promotes stable gut health.
Importantly, we take great pains to ensure our rabbits do not suffer negative experiences following birth. They are extremely well cared for, and responsibly desexed at eight weeks.
Largely pathogen-free, they boast significantly reduced incidences of snuffles (colds) and have typical parasites eliminated. As a result, many microbe medical issues seen by veterinarians are eliminated.
Lovingly trained
Our rabbits have a proven track record of positive outcomes with clients and children over a range of diagnoses—including but not limited to autism, anxiety and cerebral palsy. They also make perfect companions for those who are lonely or experience social challenges.
Thanks to our guided interview process, we identify your pain points and goals upfront so we can train a therapy rabbit to address you or your child’s unique needs.
Apartment friendly
Our rabbits are very low maintenance, usually requiring no more than two health checks a year. They are perfect for homes and apartment living, and come with a cage and toilet designed to decrease any unwanted smells and which are easy to clean.
Better yet, Rabbit Pet Therapy rabbits with a lower-shedding coat are less likely to trigger allergic reactions and asthma attacks, so are perfect for sensitive clients.
